Thunder Out-Ice Dogs Still In

It comes as little surprise.

The Borderland Thunder have confirmed they will not be in the Superior

International Junior Hockey League this coming season.

General Manager Brent Tookenay says they couldn’t find the necessary

funding to continue and notes the League has to shoulder some of the blame.

Tookenay says they are still eyeing a spot in the Manitoba Junior

Hockey League

The Dryden Ice Dogs will be on the ice next season.

The coaching staff continues to recruit players and a season ticket

drive is expected to start in the coming days.
