Tougher Laws for New Drivers

The provincial government has introduced tough legislation affecting new drivers in Ontario.
There will be zero tolerance for drinking and driving for anyone under the age of 21 and teenage drivers will only be allowed to have one passenger between the age of 16 and 19.
Maria Bagdonis operates the local Young Drivers of Canada office and she expects a surge in youth trying to get their licenses before the legislation becomes law.She believes that overall the new legislation will make Ontario’s roads safer for everyone.
