Tragedy in Fort Frances

A Fort Frances teen is dead after being struck by lightning on a
soccer field.
OPP say 13-year-old Bryce Devoe was at a sports field with a group of
youths when he was struck Wednesday evening.
Devoe was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the boys were at the field for a soccer game that was
cancelled because of lightning.
Other children who were playing in the area were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Dryden Youth Soccer cancelled games Thursday out of respect for the
victim.
