Grand Council Treaty #3 has stopped short of supporting the Common Voice initiative of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association.
Common Voice is an economic developmentn initiative for the region, which has support from a number of groups, including local chambers of commerce.
Fred Green is a political advisor for Treaty Three and says he’s disappointed that the initiative doesn’t recognize basic treaty rights.
