The Ministry of Natural Resources has stocked over 15-
thousand lake trout in Red Lake.
Spokesperson Nadine Thebeau says the trout population is
close to being eliminated from the lake, since most fish
are between the ages of 14 and 40.

Thebeau estimates there are only 3-thousand lake trout
left in Red Lake.
Part of the Ministry’s 10 year rehabilitation program is
continued stocking of the lake, and studying the Pipestone
Bay spawning area.
