A Northern Ontario forest company has been found guilty of building an
unauthorized road through a moose habitat corridor.
Thunder Bay based Buchanan Forest Products was convicted of 2-charges
for failing to comply with an approved annual work schedule.
The road was built in May 2001 through a protected wildlife area in
the Armstrong Forest where no harvesting of timber or road construction was
permitted.
Buchanan faces sentencing next month.
