Tuesday’s Fatal Crash

A 23-year-old Kingston area man is dead following a 2-vehicle crash on
Highway 17 near Vermilion Bay.
O-P-P say David Michael Allen of Amherstview was driving east when his
car crossed the centre line.
It smashed into a west-bound transport.
The trucker, from Lockport, Manitoba, unsuccessfully tried to
swerve out of the way just before Tuesday’s crash.
He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 17 was closed for several hours between Vermilion Bay and
Kenora as police investigated.
Police say road conditions did not factor into the collision.
