A Red Lake health initiative is in the running for a $1,500 grant.
The “Change 4 Life” Challenge by the Red Lake Family Health Team is one of five semi-finalists for the Tbaytel For Good Community Fund.
Clinic Manager Georgianna Schuurman says they are planning on hosting one event every month, something that will get everyone out to do something fun and healthy.
Schuurman notes another goal is hosting talks and scheduling activities that promote healthy living 12 months a year.
In the $5,000 category, the Wabauskang First Nation Public Library in Ear Falls is hoping to cash in on hopes of establishing a First Nations led facility.
Two awards will be handed out in each category and it’s all vote based.
