The union representing some 3,000 Canadian National Railway conductors and yard operations employees across Canada has given CN strike notice.
The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference accuses CN of trying to provoke the walkout by serving notice on the weekend to unilaterally impose changes to the collective agreement.
Trains could come to a halt as early as 4:00am Tuesday morning.
