The first day of Red Lake’s Fall Classic Walleye Tournament is over – and a Wabigoon duo are in first place. Richard Wetelainen and Steve Parentau hooked 17.26 pounds of walleye, giving them a lead over Darryl Hazelwood and Corey Hell with 15.61 pounds. Wetelaine and Parentau also took the ‘big fish’ award with a 6.6 pound walleye after organizers checked the tournament rules regarding stressed fish and disqualified a 7.4 pound fish.
