Waterpower Plant in Ear Falls Area

A Southern Ontario company has received the Province’s blessing to
pursue a waterpower facility near Ear Falls.
Horizon Hydro President Ian Baines says the proposed plant could
generate 3.2-megawatts of clean power, enough to supply up to 2,900
homes with electricity.
Baines says construction of the facility can’t begin until they undergo
an environment assessment, seek public input and consult with First Nations.
He says that process will likely take more then a year to complete.
