West Nile Season Round Up #1

It was a slow West Nile Season in Northwestern Ontario.

The Northwestern Health Unit collected several west nile

positive birds and mosquitoes this summer.

Environmental Health Officer Al Mathers notes the virus

isn’t as prevelant in Northwestern Ontario as it is in

Manitoba.

Q:”…while.” 15 seconds

Mathers adds they haven’t seen as many human cases of

west nile, because residents are proactive and protect

themselves with bug dope.
