Northern Ontario communities are anxiously awaiting details of the
Province’s ‘Best Start’ childcare plan.
The program was unveiled back in May however nothing has been said
since.
A Spokesperson with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services says
3-Best Start sites are now up and running in Southern Ontario and they are
waiting for funding from the Federal budget to start flowing before more are set up.
The official says Municipalities will be informed about there
allocations and guidelines in the next few weeks.
The Kenora District Services Board was looking at handling the program
locally.
