The 2006-2007 work schedule for the Whiskey Jack Forest
has been approved by the Kenora District Ministry of
Natural Resources.
MNR Spokesperson Shawn Stevenson says Abitibi
Consolidated continues to manage the Whiskey Jack’s
sustainable forest licence for the province.
Recently, Grassy Narrows first Nation demanded the
company stop logging specific areas on their reserve.
Stevenson says they are aware of the group’s concerns.
