The Dryden District Chamber of Commerce is excited about the future following the favourable response to its ‘Win This Space’ contest.
A total of 12 business ideas were received.
Chamber Manager Lorna Wood says they will now be hosting business workshops on August 15th, 16th and 31st.
Wood says participants will learn how to start a business and business plan as well as receive marketing and promotion tips.
She adds they will also receive expert advise from a number of guest speakers.
Wood says a panel of judges will then narrow the field to five.
The finalists will be selected and they will square-off on October 3rd at the Centre for a chance to win free rent for a year at a vacant Dryden location in the downtown core.
Only one person can win but Wood is hoping all other participants will still proceed with their idea.
