The Provincial Government has completed the final
management plan for the Woodland Caribou Signature Site in
Northwestern Ontario.
The plan took over five years to complete, and deals
with the future of the site located north of Kenora, west
of Red Lake and Earfalls, and South of Pikangikum First
Nation.
Provincial Park Supervisor Doug Gilmour says the
signature site includes the Eagle Snowshoe Conservation
Reserve, Woodland Caribou Provincial Park and Pipestone
Bay-McIntosh enhanced management area.

The site is located in the Canadian Shield and covers
over 537-thousand hectares of boreal forest.
